We investigated the reaction mechanism of polymeric organic semiconductors for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) which has now been published in Energy & Environmental Science (EES). This work is a collaborative effort between the Giovannitti group (Chalmers University of Technology), the Nelson group (Imperial College London), and the Salleo and Chueh groups (Stanford University).
The important observation for this work was removing metal traces (Pd, Pt) from the electrode materials is a key factor for studying the 'real' electrocatalytic performance of the polymeric electrode. Happy read! Link to publication
