Tailor-made polymers for electrosynthesis
The project includes synthesizing and characterizing novel polymeric electrocatalysts for energy-uphill, reductive electrocatalytic reactions. You will learn about the design and the synthesis of electron- and cation-transporting conjugated polymers with hydrophilic side chains [1, 2]. The goal of the project is to explore the role of the chemical composition of the polymer on the activity and selectivity of electrochemical reductive reactions.
